The ULT-Lab Amsterdam is pleased to announce that it will continue to work at a physical location in Amsterdam-North from the beginning of the new school year 2021. Every week we rent a space in the breeding ground Modestraat (Buikslotermeerplein 15-17). The Lab has been part of the Placemanagament team of Buikslotermeerplein for two years now and is, therefore, also very happy with the cooperation with Modestraat. The ULT-Lab Amsterdam works together with the municipality, residents, visitors, entrepreneurs, students and other stakeholders to make Buikslotermeerplein a liveable and central place in Amsterdam-Noord. Modestraat, open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm is a hotspot for artists and creatives, where art projects are shown, clothes can be exchanged, one can follow painting, photography and sewing lessons. Or just meet up for a cup of coffee. From our base of operations, students design prototypes with local partners on how to transform the environment.
Part of this project is also the Place Game, a kind of city expedition in which residents, entrepreneurs and stakeholders in their neighborhood to investigate what is needed to improve the liveability of the place.
