The Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Amsterdam offers a lab track (elective module) every semester. A group of (international) students from different programs from within and outside the university will set to work to design a creative product in the field of tourism or leisure activities in order to transform the Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam Noord into a vibrant, attractive and safe place. They receive help from various partners from our learning community: teachers, researchers, network partners, residents and users.
Within the lab we work with Design Thinking in which students work in climbs, where they go through various process steps and literally climb upwards. In CLIMB 3, the students choose a concept. It is now time to make several prototypes. The students and their project team will test these on and around the Buikslotermeerplein and ask questions to residents and users with which they can further improve the prototypes.
During jam session CLIMB 3, the students show the prototypes and collect feedback from the various network partners. Feedback from partners is very valuable!
Date: Friday 12 May 2023
Time: 14.00 – 16.00 p.m.
Location: Modestraat, Buikslotermeerplein 15-17 in Amsterdam
After the jam session there is always room to talk with the students and all network partners present while enjoying a snack and a drink.
