Roos Gerritsma

As the founder of the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab, urban sociologist and associate professor Roos Gerritsma was there at the start of the lab in 2015.
Swen Waterreus is a teacher of tourism for the Tourism Management department of Hogeschool Inholland in Diemen. He studied Leisure, Tourism and Environment at Wageningen University, where he specialised in sustainable tourism and its potential for the preservation of nature and fauna. Swen has a great interest in research methods and is a whole-hearted supporter of alternatives for responsible and future-proof tourism. That is why he has engaged with the Urban Leisure and Tourism Lab, performing design research to arrive at a Code of Conduct for users of the Fairbnb platform, as well as working on a co-creation vision for sustainable tourism in Amsterdam-North.
